Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand technology needs and recommend suitable IT solutions.
- Develop system design and specifications, including data models, architecture, and functional specs for hardware or software solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve efficiency, security, and effectiveness of IT systems.
- Assist in software development and programming tasks when custom solutions are required.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; provide support to end-users and helpdesk teams.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliability and functionality of IT systems.
- Create and maintain documentation such as technical specifications, system configurations, and user manuals.
- Monitor and enforce IT security policies and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Analyze data to provide insights and reports supporting decision-making processes and business objectives.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users and technical support teams.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to evaluate and procure IT products and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Strong technical skills and knowledge of various IT systems, software, and hardware.Proficiency in programming languages, database management, and network protocols.Project management skills and experience.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of industry best practices, security protocols, and compliance requirements.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CISSP) may be required or preferred.Environment & Physical Requirements
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside. Frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle objects and tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds; maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
