Civil Project Engineer-Land Development - KBJW
Position Summary
The role of the Project Engineer is to execute and finalize engineering designs for residential, commercial and public land development projects. Project Engineer should have experience in site / civil design, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other appropriate design software. Project Engineer should work well in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares plans, specifications, reports, permits, and designs for project.
- Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
- Understanding permit requirements and processes.
- Coordinates with design team including staff from multiple locations and / or disciplines
- Coordinates with Clients and jurisdictions to obtain project approvals
- Assist in developing probable construction cost estimates for projects.
- Assists in preparing project budgets.
- Mentoring and training staff engineers or other entry level employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience3-5 years experience in Civil EngineeringPE License prefferedProficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3DProficient with other engineering software required in area of expertiseWork requirements
May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 poundsAbility to walk construction job sitesRequires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work- related errands or to attend meetings may be requiredEqual Opportunity Employer
