About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing creative tools startup helping designers and teams turn ideas into visuals instantly. The company has moved beyond product-market fit and is scaling quickly across both B2C and B2B workflows. They combine creative energy with technical precision, empowering users through intuitive, design-led technology.

They're now hiring their first Product Operations Data Analyst to build the foundation for how data is used to guide product, sales, and customer decisions across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact role for a hands-on data professional who can define the company's data culture from day one. You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to build dashboards, establish metrics, and surface insights that directly inform growth and product strategy.

You'll partner with Product, Sales, and Engineering to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive user engagement, retention, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reporting tools for non-technical teams
  • Establish consistent metrics for product performance and service health
  • Design automated data pipelines and scorecards for real-time visibility
  • Analyze product and user data to identify friction, adoption trends, and engagement patterns
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to surface renewal and usage insights
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses and present clear recommendations to leadership
  • Prototype quickly with tools like ChatGPT, Jupyter, and Retool before finalizing with Engineering
  • Collaborate with Engineering on predictive models and experimentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years in analytics, BI, or data science, ideally within PLG, SaaS, or creative tools companies
  • Strong SQL and proficiency in Python or R for analysis and automation
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Mode, Tableau, or Sundial
  • Proven ability to translate data into clear business insights
  • Familiarity with support metrics (SLAs, FCR, deflection) and service-health KPIs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a bias toward action and automation
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • Why This Role

  • Opportunity to build a company's data foundation from the ground up
  • Direct collaboration with leadership and product teams
  • High ownership, strategic visibility, and potential to grow into a Head of Data role
  • Hybrid environment with flexibility and meaningful equity
