Description :

SpeechCom Inc is hiring a full-time, special education teacher, with a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Cross Categorical License (801) for the 2025-26 school year.

Rate of Pay : $40 - $50 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours : Full-Time, 40 hour work week, with a 7.5 hour billable day

Details :

  • Will work with elementary students at the middle childhood-early adolescent level.
  • Will work with other service providers.
  • Must have a Cross Categorical, Department of Instruction License (801)

    Requirements : Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
  • Develop individualized academic goals
  • Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
  • Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
  • Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Licensing Requirements :

  • Wisconsin Depart of Instruction (DPI) License
  • Cross Categorical DPI License (801)
