Technical Services Engineer (Relays and Recorders)

Title : Technical Services Engineer

Location : Houston, TX (just outside the inner loop off Post Oak Rd)

Experience : Must have experience with mid to high voltage relay exposure

Salary : $100k - $120k+

Position Overview

The Technical Services Engineer will provide expert technical support and solutions in the field of electrical power systems. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of electrical systems, focusing on relays, recorders, power transmission, and generation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance for electrical power systems including relays and recorders.
  • Conduct load flow and short circuit analysis to optimize system performance.
  • Utilize EMTP software for modeling and simulation of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports related to project progress and findings.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance client knowledge and system usage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical power systems and technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of relays, recorders, EMTP, load flow, and short circuit analysis.
  • Familiarity with power transmission and generation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
