We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Miramar, Florida. This position offers a great opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of experience to grow their skills in a dynamic environment. The role begins onsite and transitions to a hybrid schedule after the training period, which lasts approximately 6-8 weeks.
Responsibilities :
- Perform monthly reviews and reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare supplier bank reconciliations and assist with month-end financial report closings and analysis.
- Compile and distribute monthly financial statements and other relevant financial reports.
- Analyze general ledger expenses against prior year data to identify and explain fluctuations.
- Reconcile and review gross profit ledger postings and executive team expense reports on a monthly basis.
- Track incentive program payments and submissions to prevent duplication, and process payouts for payroll.
- Prepare detailed analysis reports for management and process bill-backs to suppliers for incentive programs.
- Conduct quarterly corporate reporting and ad hoc division reporting as needed.
- Manage payment processing, bill-back tracking, and sales commission programs.
- Post journal entries and reconcile cash deposit postings when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting is required.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience or recent graduation with relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel functions is essential.
- Familiarity with journal entries, fixed assets, and reconciliations is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and generate reports.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or similar platforms, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
