Job Summary
The New Business Associate contributes to the growth of Insidesource’s regional market share by supporting the daily and long-term strategic activities of the Sales team, from project identification to early customer engagement to project hand-off. This position combines research, outreach, engagement, and administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Networking and Lead Identification
- Research organizations and individuals to identify new leads and opportunities in the market.
- Engage in targeted networking and lead generation within a range of business types, including commercial real estate, A&D, PM firms, and equivalent trades (flooring, lighting, security, textiles, etc.).
- Join and participate in trade and professional organizations (NAIOP, IIDA, AIA, CREW, etc.); attend monthly meetings and join committees with a goal of increasing participation and relationship building.
- Identify key decision-makers at the executive and procurement level.
- Develop and maintain a Hubspot database of contacts and leads.
Outbound Engagement
Take a strategic and creative approach to initiating contact and developing rapport with prospective leads : requesting introductions through connections, cold calling, email campaigns, etc.Schedule and plan customer appointments (at customer site, project site, or Insidesource Showroom).Support sales team in presentation preparation ahead of customer appointments.Participate in showroom tours and other engagements with key decision-makers and firms, including customer appointments and design sessions.Assist with proposals, quotes, and bid response.Customer Intake
Lead prospective client meetings, working to identify project timing, size, and budget, as well as project definition and key objectives.Educate prospective client on Insidesource offerings, including the role of the sales person.Sales Hand-Off
Partner with assigned sales person to transition qualified leads, transferring all acquired project information.Participate in first client meeting, transferring account leadership to sales person.Insidesource Core Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. General fluency with technology. Experience with CRM systems preferred.Knowledge of the design and workplace industry and related current events.Understanding spatial layouts and a Design background preferred.Understanding of the complexities and sophistication required to thrive in the dealer environment.Fluid interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of customers, vendors, personnel, and departments.Ability to see the big picture and integrate into day-to-day tasks and activities.Excellent and effective oral and written communication.Prior experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in business transactions, and to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
