job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a critical access hospital with 25 beds across MedSurg, ICU, and OB Labor and Delivery unit with average of 10 deliveries per month L&D nurse provides care in all areas : Antepartum, Labor, Postpartum, and Newborn Nurse may float to MedSurg / Tele and assist with unit secretary or PCT duties Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 6 : 00 to 18 : 00 with every other weekend coverage Labor ratios are 1 : 1-2; Postpartum ratios are 1 : 1-3 Level 1 nursery; newborns needing specialty care are transferred Medication system is Pyxis, and documentation is completed in Meditech L&D RN is expected to perform comprehensive care for OB patients and provide immediate newborn care, including resuscitation Must be willing to float in rotation with staff in accordance with hospital policy Scrubs are provided by the facility Holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule First-time travelers may be considered based on experience Requests for time off should be minimal, with no time off in the first two weeks or for full weeks during the assignment unless approved in advance Active WY or compact RN license required Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced required Demonstrated OB experience with competency in labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care and resuscitation Prior experience floating to MedSurg / Tele preferred Ability to assist with basic MedSurg tasks including answering call lights and administering medications High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
