Salary : 24.00 hourly
SUMMARY : The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for assisting in all facets of building and grounds maintenance for the Prairie Island Indian Community as directed by the Public Works Manager, under direction of the Director of Public Works & Infrastructure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES :
The following duties and responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet business needs.
- Provides deep-cleaning services in the Community Center, Administration Building, Elders Building and PSB Building including washing, stripping and waxing floors, washing and sanitizing all bathrooms, vacuuming and shampooing carpets and washing and painting walls as necessary. Also, clean offices, including dusting and emptying waste receptacles.
- Provides routine painting and repairs of all buildings, including repairs to heating and air conditioning equipment, appliances that does not require a license.
- Performs maintenance of all tribal roads, including snow removal and the removal of snow of all driveways of tribal member elders and tribal members who are handicapped who live on or near the reservation.
- Lawn mowing as necessary to keep roadsides, ditches and other areas mowed and clear of debris. General maintenance for all vehicles and mowers and performs those tasks that do not require specialized expertise
- Maintenance of buildings, including grass cutting and snow removal
- Understand maintenance & operations policies and procedures to assure adherence to health and safety standards
- Assist with washing windows on a monthly basis, or more often as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
