American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool position, requiring two years of telemetry, dialysis, and cardiac experience in an acute care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool within an acute care hospital settingCare for patients with heart dysrhythmias, GI issues, those needing dialysis, and general medical cases34-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1 : 6Uses Epic EMR for documentation; prior Epic experience preferredFloat required within Region I facilities in the area12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage requiredFirst to float within the float poolCentralized scheduling is utilizedExpected to float to other hospitals within Region I if neededProvide bedside telemetry care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and care for patients requiring low dose vasoactive infusionsEKG strips are monitored by regionalized telemetry techs, not by unit RNsCharge nurse and nurse aides support provided on the unitProfessional scrub colors are acceptable; no color restrictions1-2 days of unit-specific orientation will be providedCandidates must not have been employed by the associated health system within the past yearHoliday coverage is required as per unit needs\n \n Requirements\n
Active Washington or compact RN license required at time of considerationCurrent AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum two years of recent experience in Med / Surg Telemetry including dialysis and cardiac careExperience with telemetry equipment and titrating low dose dopamine drips is requiredMust provide two professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and another from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityCopy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
