Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 09 / 2025 Duration : 20 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location : Hagerstown, MD Duration : 20 weeks Shift : Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (18 : 30 – 07 : 00), Thursday–Sunday Job Responsibilities : Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Administer respiratory medications via aerosol, MDI, or other delivery systems. Perform and monitor oxygen therapy (ET tube, trach collar, HFNC, T-piece, bag and mask). Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, including SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, and weaning protocols. Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation. Assist with and perform bronchoscopies, intubations, a-line insertions, and tracheostomy care. Provide care for patients with ARDS, pneumonia, aspiration, COVID-19, and other acute respiratory conditions. Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, including bubble CPAP, nasal CPAP / BiPAP, and neonatal intubation assist. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and participate in patient transport as needed. Utilize EPIC charting for accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatments.
