Job Summary : the General Maintenance position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities; requires broad knowledge of and experience in mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
- Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
- Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.
- Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery.
- Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
- Cooperate and work productively on own and with a team.
- Be punctual and reliable in attendance.
- Work overtime as needed.
