MRI Technologist I (Entry-Level)

Location : Galveston, TX

Pay Rate : $38 / hour

Schedule Options :

  • Friday-Sunday : 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. or 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.
  • Monday-Friday : 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.

About the Role

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an MRI Technologist I (Entry-Level) to join a respected healthcare facility in Galveston, TX . This role is ideal for new graduates or early-career technologists looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional and patient-focused environment.

The MRI Technologist I performs routine MRI procedures, assists physicians during exams, and ensures each patient receives safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and optimize MRI and MRA procedures to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
  • Maintain compliance with MRI safety policies and sterile techniques.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and special procedures.
  • Accurately document procedures and enter charges in real time.
  • Conduct weekly equipment quality checks and maintain readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and team members to support a positive care experience.
  • Participate in departmental improvement and learning initiatives.

    • Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited MRI training program (UTMB MR Training Program preferred).
  • 0+ years of MRI experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Certifications :

    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Must be MRI certified or registry-eligible (ARRT or ARMRIT) at the time of hire.
  • Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
