We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions and contribute to the financial operations of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to work in the dynamic oil and gas field services industry.

Responsibilities :

• Manage daily bank transactions and monitor cash balances to ensure accurate reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct daily financial reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
• Assist with corporate tax return preparation and sales tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and operations.
• Collaborate with team members to support general accounting tasks.
• Utilize NetSuite software for accounting functions, with training provided if needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in general accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Familiarity with corporate tax returns and sales tax processes.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and financial reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting software; NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
