Qualifications
- Certified journeyman or master electrician
- Pass a background check
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, age 18 or older, valid driver’s license
with reliable transportation
Have a good working knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases ofelectrical work in accordance with the latest Local and National Electrical Codes
Ability to work under adverse conditions, (heat, cold, inclement weather) and be able to perform manual type labor (digging, heavy lifting, etc.)Able to work at heights well above ground level from / out of various types of equipmentAbility to establish and maintain effective, cooperative, team focused and positive relationships with leaders, teammates, other departments and the general publicKnowledge of the materials, tools and equipment used in the work assignedKnowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary in the work assignedAbility to understand and transmit verbal, written and digital instructions effectively and efficientlyOccasionally - Lift / Carry : 25+ Lbs, Push / Pull : 26+ Lbs, Climb, Crawl, SitFrequently - Lift / Carry : 25 Lbs or Less, Push / Pull : 25 Lbs or LessResponsibilities
The successful electrician will be part of a production-driven team, performing electrical installations and troubleshootingWork will consist of plan layout, alterations, additions, and / or repairs of electrical systems, light fixtures, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial, and residential electrical industryinstall new or modified electrical installations consistent with local and national codePlan electrical installations to minimize waste of materialsPrepare and present sketches showing location of wiringFollow diagrams, blueprints and interpret specificationsSupervise, lead, and train apprentices on crewAccountable for all equipment, materials, and tools on the work vehicle and job siteMaintain all work sites clean and in orderDemonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and toolsWork in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year : heat, cold, and rainThis position is responsible for installation of equipment and fixtures, such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers controllers and breaker boxes in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings and sketchesInspect wiring and fixtures for conformance to specifications of local and national electrical codes is requiredMust have ability to test equipment, such as voltmeter and ohmmeter usageMust be available to work outside regular working hours when called upon to assist other on-call staff, serve as on-call staff on a rotating shift and when requiredPlans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures, such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, controllers and fuse boxes in compliance with blueprints, schematic drawings and sketchesWorks from written work orders, oral instructions, blueprints, layouts, sketches, specifications, e-mails and digital communicationKeeps accurate and detailed time and material recordsBenefits
