Pay : $28-32 / hour based on experience, certifications, and education
Hours : Full time hours; Monday – Friday, standard business hours

Job Summary
The Remote Medical Underwriting Analyst - Risk Management supports the Underwriting Risk Management team by conducting eligibility verification audits on in-force groups to ensure compliance with small employer benefit contract definitions. This role plays a key part in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the underwriting process while supporting strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and auditing skills, a working knowledge of insurance and risk management principles, and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities :
Conduct eligibility verification audits on in-force employer groups to ensure compliance with small business eligibility requirements.Reconcile tax and business documentation to verify group and member participation and coverage accuracy.Communicate audit findings and case decisions clearly to internal teams, including RAE, Inside Sales, Financial Underwriting, Customer Service, and Agents.Interpret and apply group policies, Certificates of Coverage (COCs), and relevant compliance and regulatory guidelines.Maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting for assigned cases.Meet turnaround time (TAT) and productivity metrics established by management.Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA and PHI regulations to ensure data privacy and compliance.Take initiative to identify and resolve issues and suggest process improvements.Minimum Requirements :
Verifiable High School Diploma or higher1+ year of experience in insurance, healthcare, auditing, underwriting, or enrollment, or a related degree.Understanding of insurance product structures, underwriting processes, and risk management.Technical : Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems or platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity and quality expectations.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and accuracy.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience reviewing and interpreting tax documentation in an audit or underwriting setting.Knowledge of small business insurance eligibility and compliance requirements.Experience handling confidential information in compliance with HIPAA, ACA, PHI, and PII regulations.WHO SHOULD APPLY?
