Comprehensive Cancer Control Program Coordinator
Department : Health & Wellness Programs
Reports to : Health & Wellness Programs Manager
FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt
Range : 9 / 10 ($34.56-$37.36) DOQ
Position Summary : The Comprehensive Cancer Programs Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and quality assurance for intertribal programs providing cancer awareness and screening. The programs are funded primarily by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and a portfolio of smaller, private grants and donations. The Comprehensive Cancer Control Program Coordinator oversees activities and meetings to ensure goal-based deliverables are met on time and at budget. The position develops and maintains positive, productive working relationships with contractors, vendors, funders and Tribal staff and leaders. The position is located at the Intertribal Professional Center on the Squaxin Island Reservation near Shelton, WA.
Responsibilities
The Comprehensive Cancer Control Program Coordinator, as an employee of the South Puget Intertribal Planning Agency, is expected to collaborate, engage, and work closely with all SPIPA programs to fully support the agency’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values in accordance with all Agency directives.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Functions / Physical Abilities : Bending at the waist; sitting for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to read reports and data; lifting medium objects generally less than 25 pounds. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Occasional travel is required to consortium tribe locations and selected conferences and trainings.
Salary / Fringe Benefits : This position has a range of SPIPA 9 / 10 with a starting range of $34.56 to $37.36 per hour depending on qualifications (37.5 hours weekly). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and agency contribution to a retirement program.
