Location : This position will be based out of UPMC Altoona at 620 Howard Avenue, 16601.

Key Responsibilities :

• Interpret Financial Data : Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentorship : Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
• Data Analysis : Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
• Advanced Reporting : Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Statistical Analysis : Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
• Transaction Management : Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Cost Studies : Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required. Minimum of three years of related work experience required. OR High School Diploma / GED and five years of related work experience. Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : CPA / MBA preferred.
