We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join Texas Home Medical. This position will be responsible for providing clinical patient DME set-ups and support within the San Antonio location.
Responsibilities
Completes patient set-ups for CPAPs, BIPAPs. & Advanced therapy devicesMaintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities (as required for state licensure or certification)Educate patient on respiratory equipment including maintenance and safetyKeep detailed notes of all services performedLink patients to compliance programs such as AirViewSupports training of other employees at the direction of the management teamTrack compliance on all patients set up on PAP therapyPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by state licensure law or by the management teamEducation and / or Experience
Completion of a respiratory care degree or related science is preferredRespiratory therapist certification - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)Experience launching NIV or percussion vest programs is desirableMaintain CEUs as required by state lawSkills, Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information (HIPPA)Ability to multi-task along with attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommunicates effectively with employees, patients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely mannerAbility to overcome patient / customer objections to CPAP / BILEVELFlexible approachStrong self-motivation and time-management skillsContingent On
