We are working with a prestigeous LA firm seeking a litigation associate attorney to join the firm’s growing Los Angeles office. If you have at least 3 years of California state and federal litigation experience supporting complex commercial, real estate, entertainment, employment, and intellectual property litigation matters, this is may be a great opportunity. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely as appropriate based on assignments and business needs.
The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $260,000
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of litigation and case management from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
- Interview witnesses and oversee fact-gathering for case development
- Draft motions, pleadings, position statements, and mediation briefs
- Handle discovery, document productions, and ESI
- Take and defend depositions
- Appear for court hearings / conferences, and ADR proceedings (mediation / arbitration)
- Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve discovery disputes, facilitate settlements, etc.
- Trial preparation
Minimum Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in the State of CaliforniaIn good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaAdmitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California (or will seek such admission promptly)At least three years of experience litigating matters in both state and federal courts in California, including :preparing and responding to pleadings
