Overview

The SP Group is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to join the team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Consultant. The SP Group is a consulting firm that provides regulatory, quality, and technical consulting services. We are seeking an experienced environmental health and safety professionals to assist us in providing support services to our clients in New York City., NY

Responsibilities

• The Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant will provide client coordination in all safety and environmental disciplines including Potent Compound Safety, Biological Safety, Chemical Safety, Radiation Safety, Controlled Substances, Emergency Preparedness, Hazardous Waste.
• Establishment and maintenance of EHS permits and licenses in compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations.
• Conduct Risk Assessments to analyze and evaluate the proper handling of potent compounds, biological materials, chemicals and associated equipment and procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct training to meet corporate training plans and regulatory requirements.
• Industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting.
• Special emphasis on hazardous waste compliance and management.
• Assist in the review and update of various EHS procedures.
• May complete special assignments or research projects as required.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
