Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Labor & Delivery RN Location : West Des Moines, IA 50266 (Iowa nursing jobs) Start Date : October 13, 2025 End Date : January 12, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation if scheduled Floating : Required across all campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, Iowa Methodist) EMR : EPIC Scrubs : Hospital provided Estimated Weekly Salary : $2000 - $2140 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Iowa RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting, including operating room (OR) experience At least one completed travel RN assignment in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers) Current certifications : BLS, ACLS (OB), and NRP Proficient in c-section and vaginal deliveries, triage, and able to float to Mother / Baby and Postpartum Care units Ability to work required winter holidays (must work 2 of 3 : Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving) Submission of work history / resume, recent skills checklist, license verification, required certifications, and references Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients and their families Manage patient care throughout all stages of labor and delivery, including triage, c-sections, and postpartum care Administer and monitor drips (magnesium, insulin, pitocin) as required Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other hospital units as needed and adapt to various clinical settings Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in West Des Moines, Iowa, and take the next step in your nursing career!
