Sr Internal Auditor - Americas

Perma-Pipe in The Woodlands, TX is hiring a Sr Internal Auditor - Americas!

Essential Job Functions

  • Support and coordinate with the Director, Internal Audit to ensure proper execution of internal audit responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with MENA (Middle East / Northern Africa) division counterpart on internal audits.
  • Participate in audit planning, including risk assessments, audit scoping, and control environment documentation.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of key business processes and document roles, responsibilities, and control activities.
  • Develop or enhance control narratives, flowcharts, audit programs, and workpapers.
  • Test key SOX controls across accounting, financial reporting, finance, HR, and operations functions.
  • Assist in documentation and testing of IT general and application controls for SOX compliance.
  • Identify, document, and track control exceptions; assist in remediation and process improvement efforts.
  • Prepare draft audit reports and develop actionable recommendations to address identified risks.
  • Support quarterly and annual reporting to the Audit Committee.
  • Assist with internal audit support for business acquisitions, technical accounting, and other special projects.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or a related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active progress toward certification required.

    • Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of internal audit or equivalent public accounting experience.
  • Strong background in SOX compliance, GAAP / IFRS, and internal control testing and documentation.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial environments preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and similar audit documentation tools.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong sense of ownership, integrity, and accountability.
