Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Recreational Therapist position is available for the uping school year, serving K-12 students in a school district near Los Lunas, NM, approximately 30 miles from Albuquerque. This full-time role offers an opportunity to apply specialized therapeutic skills in a dynamic educational environment, supporting students with diverse needs.

Location : Los Lunas, NM (traveling to multiple school sites within the district)Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PMDuration : August 1, 2025 May 22, 2026Work Type : Onsite, Itinerant role (traveling between school locations)Hours : 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement group activities to enhance social skills for students with autism
• Support students with ADHD by facilitating structured physical activities to help manage energy levels
• Assist students with developmental delays in improving gross motor skills through adapted sports and recreation
• Guide students with disabilities to access and participate in munity recreational resources for better integration
• Provide relaxation techniques and coping strategies to students dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression
• Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
