Job Description

Behavioral Health Manager (Onsite / Washington)

Pay : $86,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

POSITION

The Behavioral Health Manager Manages operations of a child and family counseling program, including clinical supervision, program management, quality assurance, monitoring outcomes, and providing services to clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Management : Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to staff; oversee records, program systems, budgets, contracts, and electronic records; develop and implement program plans.
  • Administration / Planning : Participate in management meetings, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Supervision : Hire, train, and evaluate staff; hold regular supervisory meetings; maintain case knowledge.
  • Direct Services : May provide therapeutic services, case management, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and on-call support; promote program visibility; engage in research projects.
  • Clinical : Provide clinical supervision; coordinate intake, case assignments, psychiatric / legal consultations; ensure effective clinical operations.
  • Other : Assist leadership with related duties.

  • Strong human relations and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Professional office setting with moderate noise, lighting, and interruptions.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Some in-state travel required.
  • Hybrid work may be available depending on business needs.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, type, and occasionally stoop or kneel.
  • Close vision required for computer work.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field plus 5+ years clinical and administrative experience.
  • Licensed as a Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor.
  • Training in areas such as abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, or chemical abuse preferred.
  • Specialized training in management, administration, and / or planning required.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience (hiring, training, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, discipline).
  • Direct experience with children, youth, and families, including treatment interventions, assessments, and diagnosis.
  • Experience in community organizing and liaison work.
  • Successful criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 violations in the past 3 years.
