WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to support a social service residential facility located in Nassau County, Long Island. A qualified candidate will need to have a minimum of one year of experience working with OPWDD patient population and the ability to treat medically fragile adult patients.

Job Function :

Day Shift.

7 : 30AM - 3 : 30PM / 8AM - 4PM.

Provides medical oversight and medical assessment of all people that attend the Day Habilitation to ensure their safety and well-being.

Administer first aid as needed or instruct staff on necessary medical interventions.

Reviews all medical records and paperwork, including annual physicals and medical visit appointments, on a regular basis and following doctor’s orders as prescribed.

Ensure that all medical documentation is comprehensive and conforms with agency policies and procedures and is maintained in the person’s medical chart.

Ensure implementation of all new medical policies and procedures by training staff and observation of practices.

Job Requirements :

1 year of experience with OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities).

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in New York State.

Active NYS RN license required.

Experience with OPWDD documentation and procedures preferred.

WCS (Worker Classification System) resume required.
