PCB Designer Canonsburg, PA Contract Position $42.24-$45.06 / Hour Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities :

• Contribute to the architecture, design, testing, and production of torpedo guidance and control systems for the U.S. Department of Defense.
• Apply expertise in AC / DC and DC / DC power systems, including control and safety circuitry, to support reliable system development.
• Utilize electrical engineering CAD tools and perform mixed-signal circuit analysis and design.
• Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware for prototype and production systems.
• Research, prototype, and innovate new design architectures and electronics solutions, including component selection and multilayer PCB layouts.
• Support the full product development lifecycle : concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams in fast-paced, R&D environments. Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field; or a Master's degree with relevant coursework.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required by federal law).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, including design and test of mixed-signal systems.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools and circuit design for power conversion (e.g., DC / DC Buck, Boost, LDO; AC / DC systems).
• Background in multilayer PCB design and familiarity with protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet.
• Hands-on experience with hardware integration, troubleshooting, and system verification.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with safety-critical circuit design in industries such as defense, medical, or automotive.
• Familiarity with R&D environments involving rapid prototyping and iterative testing.
