Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Transport and Lift Team Manager, the Patient Transport Supervisor I provides daily oversight and direction to the Medical Center Lift and Transport Team to include training, evaluation, timekeeping, counseling and corrective action. Maintains records pertinent to Lift and Transport Team activities. Functions as a working supervisor and will participate as part of the lift and transport team to assist direct patient care providers with safe patient handling. Promotes an environment of safe patient handling which provides for the safety of our patients while maintaining a safe work environment for the patient care providers.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications :

• Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators
• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must be available to work overtime as patient care needs demand
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare environment or training in a healthcare / emergency / rescue field
• Current BLS certification required by time of hire
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
