The General Manager is responsible managing and overseeing daily cafe operations to ensure the overall success of the cafe.
Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities :
Hires and trains cafe staffOrganizes and oversees staff schedulesConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveHandles progressive discipline of employees in accordance with Company policyDuties / Responsibilities :
Understand and administer all Another Broken Egg Cafe policies, procedures, standards, and expectationsEnsure that all guests feel welcome, are given responsive, friendly, courteous, and exceptional service, and leave satisfied with their experienceAlways embody Another Broken Egg 5 core valuesWillingness to serve in any hourly role as needed to ensure the cafe’s operational successTake responsibility for the quality of food served and service given to guests while also achieving Another Broken Egg’s objectives for sales and growthFacilitate all local cafe marketing, advertising, promotion, and campaign efforts with assistance from the Marketing TeamDevelop relationships with the local community to build brand awarenessMaintain Another Broken Egg’ standards in terms of employment, including interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing, evaluating, and terminating based on Company policyBe knowledgeable of Another Broken Egg’s policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any violations of Company policies and proceduresSchedule labor by anticipating sales while ensuring all positions are filled and labor cost goals and objectives are metContinually strive to develop all staff in managerial and professional skills, building Another Broken Egg’s future leadershipConsistently monitor financial controls to assure objectives are met in sales, costs, labor, etc.Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling, reconciliation, and daily deposit procedures in accordance with Another Broken Egg’s policiesPerform all administrative tasks s in an organized and timely mannerFully understand and comply with federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the cafe, employees, and guestsEnsure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to Another Broken Egg’s brand standardsEnsure and verify that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and regular preventative maintenanceCreate and maintain a fun, safe, and rewarding work environment for all Another Broken Egg Team MembersPerform other duties and support functions as assignedRequired Skills / Abilities :
Strong supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer serviceExcellent time management skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelinesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required5 years of previous restaurant experience required with 2 years of management experience preferredSuccessful completion of corporate’s 6-week training program requiredAchieve a passing score on the ServSafe exam or possess a valid ServSafe certificationPhysical Requirements :
