Job Overview
The Grounds Technician I performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures as directed on grounds, turf grass, pavements, walkways, amphitheater, ponds, swimming pools and fountains. This is an entry level position.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs work outdoors and some tasks may be performed regardless of weather conditions
- May require working while exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust, tobacco smoke and foul odors
- Work is characterized by the necessity for considerable physical exertion, by close daily contact with unpleasant materials
- Operates edgers, lawn mowers, tractors, spreaders, fertilizers, aerators, and other motorized machinery
- Work involves heavy lifting and exposure to fumes, chemicals and other noxious odors, machinery with moving parts and noise
- Maintains, cleans and dresses the facility and grounds including pools, building's exterior, outside structures and parkway areas.
- Applies chemicals, as directed to clarify and sanitize swimming pools, brushes and cleans all pool surfaces
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or olderSix (6) months of Commercial or Municipal grounds maintenance and / or landscaping experience- requiredMust have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as requiredMust have good hearing and eyesightMust have ability to read, write and understand EnglishWilling to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this positionMust have willingness and ability to work in a smoke / secondary smoke environmentWind Creek Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer and gives preference to Native American Indians.
