The Role :

Night-shift RN (7p–7a, full-time) caring for complex cardiac step-down patients with a clear path to grow into ICU practice. You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with an interdisciplinary team that values your voice and your expertise.

    What We're Looking For :

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

    Associate's or Bachelor's

    degree in nursing

    Current valid North Carolina nursing license required

    Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association

    is

    required

    One-year

    of acute nursing experience

    is

    required

    If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is

    required

    prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

    In order to

    be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

    What You'll Do :

    Performs nursing assessments to gather data and

    identify

    the patient's needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON.

    Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.

    Develop and implement an individualized

    nursing care plan

    with the patient and family that will address the patient's and family's identified needs and concerns.

    Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and

    facilitating

    patient outcomes.

    Implements and evaluates the patient's response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.

    Provides care based on established standards of practice,

    policies,

    and protocols.
