Vascular Interventional Radiology Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. This individual will work closely with Interventional Radiologists to assist in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. They will also be competent in performing various procedures, such as cerebral aneurysm coilings, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions.

This is a night shift position that requires 36 hours of scheduled weekly work. The technologist will be responsible for assisting with uterine artery embolizations, venous lysis of tumors, vertebroplasties, infusion pump placements / revisions, radiofrequency ablations, and other peripheral vascular interventions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the Interventionalist in specific areas of procedural support.
• Greet patients upon arrival to the department, check charts for required data, and report absences or abnormalities to RN / physician.
• Participate in room turnover and transporting of patients.
• Assist Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel on regular basis.
