Position Overview

The Registered Diagnostic Radiology Technologist RT(R) integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. The RT(R) provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the needs of each patient. The decisions and actions with patients and families are determined in an ethical manner, practicing compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and unique attributes of each person. The RT(R) effectively communicates with patients, families, visitors, colleagues, physicians, leadership, and volunteers. All areas of practice and care delivery are provided to achieve and maintain top quality results and outcomes for patient experience, quality, and patient safety.

The RT(R) follows and adheres to Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS) policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and standards of behavior. The RT(R) works within the practice and scope of their credentials. The RT(R) demonstrates the ARHS mission, vision, and values in action and demonstrates ARHS culture in a way that reflects integrity, compassion, community, inclusion, and accountability.

This position may require cross-training in Computed Tomography (CT).

Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range starts from $26.54 / hour.

• Compensation is commensurate upon education & experience – range is $23.00 / hour or more (depending on education & experience). Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position.
