Job Responsibilities : Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit. Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team. Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, and case managers. Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system. Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with built-in flexibility. Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1 : 4 schedule. Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired. Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. Pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles. Qualifications : Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within two years of eligibility) or Board Certified. Open to new graduates and experienced providers. Valid Michigan medical license. DEA license. BLS Certification. License and Certification Requirements : Valid Michigan license at the time of employment. DEA license is required. BLS Certification must be maintained. Must become Board Certified within two years if Board Eligible.
