The Field Verification Manager is responsible for verification and correction of take-offs as needed for all active plans. This includes verifying the take-offs on all prototype homes throughout construction, verifying take-offs on all active plans and submitting take-off changes as needed. Working with Area Construction Manager and Construction Managers to resolve take-off plan issues when necessary.

Your Responsibilities on the Team :
Interact with the Purchasing Manager, Area Managers, and Construction Managers to resolve any take off problems.Create material take-offs for new and revised plans and special projects and specification changes.Verify and approve take off changes sent in from the field.Field inspection and verification of architectural, engineering, and materials on all new prototype homes.Field inspection and validation of take offs and make necessary adjustments.Field inspections to identify unnecessary overhead expenses such as generators, portable toilets, and material wastes.Evaluate take off issues in the field and review with Estimator to make adjustments as necessary.Perform random audits during the construction process to ensure Scopes of Work are being enforced and followed.Perform random audits during the construction process to ensure quality control, and of materials dropped by suppliers.Measure available slab and flatwork prior to concrete pour on regular field visit day.Review plans, take offs and budges for new communities and plans to resolve possible issues before the community or plan starts and manage all plan sets.Analyze plans for cost analysis and value engineering recommendations.Prepare contracting packages (i.e. Subcontractor Base Agreements, Scopes of Work, Insurance Requirements, Specifications, etc.).Negotiate and question pricing and legitimacy of EPO's.Review all extra EPO's to verify within accordance of approved take offs, scopes of work, proper reason codes utilized, and work with Expeditor to resolve issues as they arise.Generate and analyze variance reports.Identify areas and trends in extra EPO's to prevent and to reduce costs.Participate in division variance meetings, communicating results to the purchasing and construction team for any adjustments needed.Review site condition reports prior to budget creation.Randomly audit Build Pro tasks that are complete / paid for accuracy.Randomly audit Net Plus item installations in the field.Identify potential new trade partners by visiting surrounding communities.Requirements :
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferredValid Driver's License with good driving recordValid Auto Insurance CoverageMinimum of 2 years of residential construction experienceComputer literate with the ability to work with JD Edwards, Auto CAD, Buzzsaw, Build Pro / Supply Pro, and Excel preferredFull understanding of residential construction and architectural designAbility to read and interpret blue printsProfessionally perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlinesGood writing, verbal and organization skillsPossess strong work ethic, integrity, and loyaltyTeam Player with the ability to work well under pressureContacts :

Physical & Office / Site Presence Requirements :
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and / or the field environment. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and / or carry items that are less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity required in operating a computer keyboard and a calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and meeting with vendors and contractors and to receive / return phone messages.
