Job Description
EBAD seeks an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the position of Electronics Inspector, reporting to the Quality Engineering Lead, Electronics. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.
Responsibilities :
The Electronics Inspector will primarily be responsible for the inspection of incoming materials, in-processes assemblies, final assemblies, and completed manufacturing documentation for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in support of the Electronics Value Stream. Responsibilities include inspection of electronic components, bare PCBs, in-process and complete PCBAs, cable assemblies, deliverable assemblies, and all associated paperwork as follows :
- Inspection of electronics per IPC and J-STD requirements (Soldering, Crimping, Staking, Coating, Potting, etc.)
- In-process inspection of general workmanship and technical data package compliance
- Recording of inspection results in a clear and organized manner
- Reviewing manufacturing build records to assure that all steps have been properly documented
- Oversee material management of electronic and electro-mechanical components per Supplier Data Sheets & EBAD procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and control of non-conforming product
- Support manufacture of a variety of Electrical / Electro-mechanical devices and / or systems per detailed manufacturing and quality instructions
- Setup and maintain inspection cell in accordance with 6S principles
Requirements :
Electronics Inspection Experience Required (Component Inspection, PCB Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, and IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge)Strong attention to detail for workmanship and accurate documentationAccurate records of inspections performed, and creation of discrepancy reports is requiredPerform visual, dimensional, 1st piece and final inspection of detailed parts and assembliesAbility to work to procedures of little detail as well as follow procedures of strict detailMust be able to manage their time to accomplish assigned tasksMust be willing to travel 5% of the timeMust have a high school diplomaPreferred Skills :
