As a Security Officer- Armed Patrol Shelter in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with those you encounter. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour
- Must be able to pass a Physical Exam prior to being hired (Run 1 mile- 12 minutes, 22 sit ups and 12 push ups)

What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sitesSupport operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and educationReceive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teamsDeliver consistent, professional security presence and customer serviceBe ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs ariseResponsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to occupants within the shelter environment.Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or activity.Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations specific to the shelter environment, including supporting shelter staff and occupants as needed.What We're Looking For :

Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.Must have 3 years of either Military, Law Enforcement or Armed Security experience.Must have a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
