Job Description

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth. Partners with GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. Ability to source from various channels including special orders, FDO, second sources, etc. Directs drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Supervise daily activities of Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and sustain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Coordinate with GM for driver coverage

  • Parts and automotive system expertise
  • Operating POS and parts lookup systems
  • ASE P2 certification or equivalent
  • Advanced solution and product recommendation skills
  • Strong selling skills for commercial customers
  • Organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Essential Job Skills

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
  • Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs
  • Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Prior Experience

    Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous.

    Education and Certifications

    High school diploma or GED required. ASE Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Primarily walking or standing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor tasks, exposure to various weather conditions, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise levels.

    Compensation and Benefits
