Illinois School District Needs Passionate Special Education Teachers!

We are seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher (LBS1 endorsed) for the 2025–2026 school year to support students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will create a caring and engaging learning space where every child has the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Collaboration will be central to your work—you’ll partner with families, paraprofessionals, therapists, and fellow educators to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). By using evidence-based strategies, you’ll help students build independence, improve communication, and strengthen early social-emotional skills.

Each day, you’ll focus on monitoring progress, adapting instruction, and actively contributing to IEP meetings to ensure student growth and success. With your strong classroom management skills and nurturing mindset, you will establish a safe and structured learning environment where every student feels empowered and supported.

Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, along with a valid Illinois teaching license that includes an endorsement in Special Education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building positive relationships with students, collaborating effectively with school staff, and maintaining ongoing engagement with families.
