Job Description

The Ranch is seeking a skilled and dependable Ranch Mechanic to join our operations team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a remote, self-reliant environment and takes pride in keeping equipment and vehicles in top condition.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide range of ranch equipment, including :

Trucks, trailers, ATVs, tractors, generators, pumps, and small engines

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
  • Track maintenance schedules, order parts, and maintain accurate records
  • Support field operations with mobile repairs when needed
  • Ensure equipment is safe, operational, and well-maintained
  • Assist with occasional ranch utility projects (e.g., water systems, fencing, infrastructure repairs)

    • Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a mechanic (automotive, diesel, or ag equipment preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and terrain
  • Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL a plus
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a bonus
