Job Summary
Responsible for all the operations of the community home(s) under the general direction of the Program Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the work performance of all direct care staff
Develop staff schedule and publish
Collect, assimilate, approve, and submit all appropriate documentation for payroll processingComplete annual performance evaluationEnsure that all policies, rules, and regulations are followed and establish resolutions including administration of discipline, corrections, and reinforcements as requiredConduct staff meetings with direct care staff and provide training when necessaryResponsible for the health and welfare of the individual(s) servedSchedule all medical appointments
Advocate individual(s) served rights when appropriateSchedule individual(s) served activitiesEnsure fire and evacuation procedures are up to date and train accordinglyEnhance the quality of life for the individual(s) servedParticipate in the selection and placement of new staffOversee all care and maintenance of the buildings and grounds for the community homeSchedule and make certain vehicle maintenance is completedResponsible for the overall financial success of community home(s)Maintain finances within the assigned budget
Process all invoices and submit them to the home office in a timely mannerKeep overtime to a minimumEnsure all house inventories (food, supplies, clothing) are complete and proper amounts are available as neededMake certain all efforts are made to maintain responsible utility, repair, and transportation expensesBe in compliance with the standards for the annual surveyPrepare and submit any and all required documents in a timely manner (i.e. program notes, invoices / bills, state-required documents, payroll, individual(s) served financial information)Oversee individual(s) served finances and ensure all policies and procedures are followed in the administration of suchMaintain a relationship with the individual(s) served family and work to ensure the best outcomeServe as a role model for both individual(s) served and staffFollow and enforce all policies and procedures of EvergreenAll other duties as assignedQualifications / Experience / Job Knowledge
Education : High school diploma or G.E.D; college degree preferredCMA certification within two (2) years of beginning the Home Manager positionAt least three (3) years of direct support experience; some supervisory experienceAbility to communicate both in written and oral formGood organizational skills with an eye for detailsPhysical Requirements
Constantly moves about to coordinate workRegularly works in fast fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlinesRegularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 poundsOccasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditionsConstantly alert and observant during working hoursReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities or medical conditions to perform the essential functions.
Special Requirements
May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.Must be able to prioritize work tasks.Employment Variables
Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check. May be asked to work some evenings when required.
Working Environment
May be required to work in a variety of settings and environments both indoors and outdoors.
