Are you Milwaukee's biggest fan? We are and we love to tell the stories that resonate with our community. MKE Lifestyle, a glossy monthly magazine of Conley Media, has been keeping Greater Milwaukeeans informed about fun events, local game changers and trends for over 30 years. We are looking for a dynamic full-time Editor-in-Chief for our magazine with exceptional writing, copy-editing and organizational skills.

Our mission in thirty years of publication is to celebrate the people, cultural and nonprofit organizations, events, homes, gardens, landscapes, activities, food, and businesses that make living in Milwaukee unique and fulfilling. With lush photography, compelling stories, informative listings and departments, plus targeted special-interest sections, we present a monthly dive into all things great about living in Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and execute the editorial strategy to support audience growth
  • Research story ideas
  • Write and assign articles
  • Provide copy editing assistance in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AP Style
  • Top notch writing & copy-editing skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism
  • 5 years editing and management experience
