Wage Range : $39.43-$63.35 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity.

JOB SUMMARY of ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Adheres to all hospital Policies and Procedures and Philosophy of Care. Consistently exhibits professional conduct that is a behavior-based expression of the hospital’s Health & Healing principles. Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level and does not require constant supervision. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Rotates call service support with other Radiology Technologist staff. Performs clerical tasks (filing, maintaining logbooks, retrieving films, etc.). Maintains and documents continuing education credits as required by ARRT. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care. Provides patient care. Adheres to all infection control policies and procedures. Participates in department QA processes as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE :
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology. Must be licensed as a Radiology Technologist (RT) with the State of Washington, current certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of one-year previous radiology experience preferred.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Functional with designated radiation-emitting, processing, and record retrieval equipment, CPR, and life-saving equipment. Film Digitizer. Good critical thinking skills required. Patient care. Clerical and computer skills required. Patient transfer methods. Must be able to communicate in the English language.
Use of personal protective equipment as appropriate, documentation of immunization / immunity against hepatitis B, and training related to blood-borne pathogens are required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS :
Adheres to all State and Federal regulations pertaining to hazardous materials Radiation emitting equipment. Film processing with chemicals. Fluctuating workload. Risk of exposure to communicable diseases, and risk of physical injury from lifting, moving or transferring patients.
WORK CONTACT GROUP : All hospital departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel, and medical staff.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Ability to transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and transfer patients to the radiology table as necessary. Stands and walks for long periods of time. Must be able to stoop, bend, push and pull. Must be able to transport, transfer and assist patients as needed using “Zero Lift” techniques and equipment. Operates technical equipment requiring manual and visual dexterity. Must be able to pull, lift, file, and carry patient folders weighing up to 15lbs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth Monroe and United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), Local 3000.
