Clinical Systems Analyst
The Clinical Systems Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical and administrative systems. This role works closely with end users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure systems effectively support clinical workflows and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support EMR systems (Athena) by updating templates, managing user access, maintaining interfaces, and ensuring integrations function properly.
- Provide EMR (Athena) training for physicians, residents, and clinical / non-clinical staff.
- Analyze workflows, identify system needs, and design efficient solutions that align with operational goals.
- Coordinate and perform system testing, upgrades, and implementations, including developing test scenarios and reviewing results.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide daily help desk support; participate in on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with Nurse Informaticists and Report Writers to improve workflows and reporting capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between IT, clinical departments, and software vendors to communicate needs, issues, and enhancements.
- Provide project leadership by managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and supporting end-user adoption.
- Document processes, changes, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
- Travel to multiple sites as needed to support system training and workflow optimization.
- Maintain strong communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong understanding of EMR systems and clinical operations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general reporting tools.Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently or collaboratively across teams.
