Correctional Medical Management is passionate about positively changing healthcare for the good of our clients. We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to work night shift at the Minnehaha County Jail. In this role you will provide patient education, preventative care and clinical care to incarcerated patients. You will work in a supportive and safe environment in collaboration with correctional officers to provide quality healthcare to an underserved population. This position will be rewarding and allow you to diversify your nursing career! Currently hiring for Full-Time Night positions.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct nursing care to inmates
  • Medication administration
  • Emergency response
  • Prepare and maintain records, charts and reports
  • Ensure patient is receiving proper care for medical condition or injury
  • Ensure all nursing protocols are followed
  • Evaluate and report client behaviors, symptoms and changes to conditions
  • Patient education
  • Obtain diagnostic tests and provide results to Providers
  • Assist with medical or minor surgical procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with patients, staff and the public

    • Requirements :

  • Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in South Dakota
  • Current CPR Certification
