Job Overview

As a Crew Leader in our Construction Department you are offered the opportunity for personal and professional growth, as well as the chance to work on hands-on and outdoor projects. This role involves directing outdoor construction projects, providing comprehensive worker training, ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation, and managing all related administrative functions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Direct and supervise crew members on job sites.
  • Analyze and interpret landscape architectural designs and construction documents.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., skid steers, excavators, power tools).
  • Perform tasks such as grading, digging, planting, and hardscape installation.
  • Oversee the installation of various landscape features (e.g., patios, walkways, planting beds, irrigation systems).
  • Communicate effectively with crew members, clients, and management.

Job Requirements

  • A strong foundation in landscape construction techniques, including hardscape installation (patios, walkways, retaining walls) and planting.
  • Knowledge of tools, materials and equipment used in landscaping.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
  • A commercial driver's license (CDL) is essential, typically Class A, B or D depending on the vehicle and load.
  • Experience in a leadership role would be advantageous.
