As the Associate Manufacturing Leader, you’ll steward production, quality, safety, cost, and service outcomes—while enabling strategic customer programs and improving P&L performance.
What you’ll lead
- Customer interface : Act as the primary contact for quality and service topics, closing the loop on issues quickly.
- Continuous improvement : Cut spoilage, optimize labor utilization, elevate safety, and improve efficiency with CI methods and SPC.
- People & performance : Coach production staff, drive accountability, and embed a problem-solving culture.
- Safety first : Provide information, tools, and standard work to operate safely; plan procedural changes that drive hazards toward zero.
- Financial stewardship : Review and act on operational reports; manage overtime and costs to plan.
- Operational cadence : Maintain internal and external communications, as needed, 24 hours a day to ensure seamless operations.
- Cross-functional partnership : Collaborate with the Plant Manager and HR on personnel matters; coordinate with production planning on schedules and staffing; work closely with corporate on planning initiatives.
- Talent pipeline : Develop employees for advancement; lead training and safety programs; directly supervise plant personnel (team size varies).
- And more : Support strategic customer initiatives and complete additional responsibilities / projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring
Associate’s degree or demonstrated, progressive leadership success within the packaging sector.At least 5 years of management in high-volume manufacturing.Proven implementation of improvement methodologies in manufacturing.Experience with self-directed work teams.Where you’ll work
Manufacturing environment with moving machinery and high noise; frequent use of computer, cell phone, and printer / fax.Hearing protection and assigned PPE required.Temperatures vary and can reach ~90 degrees; potential exposure to fumes, dust, and odors.Regular standing, walking, and hand use; frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.Frequently lift / move up to 20 lbs; vision requirements include close, distance, and color recognition.Core proficiencies
