Overview
We are seeking an Advanced Electrical Project Engineer at our Broomfield, CO location.
This engineering role will collaborate with program management, manufacturing, and procurement to develop and coordinate EE project plans aligned with higher-level program and production schedules. The Project Engineer (PE) will be accountable for on-time delivery of electrical commitments to program needs. The successful PE will track critical design, procurement, and production milestones and forecast delivery dates to Program Management. In the process, the PE will work with technical leadership to track and manage risks and coordinate mitigation actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed schedules and daily workflow for electrical deliverables on complex, multi-faceted R&D and Product Engineering projects
- Track and manage milestones including internal design and manufacturing readiness reviews, to measure technical progress and risk
- Perform day-to-day coordination of deliverables to / from other groups (such as Software, Mechanical, Test, and Physicists) on cross-functional teams
- Support program-level Rolling Action Item Logs (RAIL), Risk registers, and other tracking tools to keep sight of tasks and organize activities
- Coordinate with materials management and major subcontractors and suppliers to get on-time delivery of needed technologies or hardware
- Support regular project reviews and status meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
- Work closely with the development and production teams to understand current and future demands, and integrate them into short-term and long-term forecasts
- Manage execution of EE Production plans through the year by working with technical teams, asset management, materials management, and finance
- Capture daily lessons learned from EE production projects and collaborate with technical / programmatic leadership to inform future project cost / schedule estimates and process improvements
You Must Have
Bachelor's degree minimumMinimum 4+ years of experience in milestone-driven technical program management and coordination for delivery of research and development hardware to internal technical customersDue to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee statusDue to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizenWe Value
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or an associated STEM field augmented with knowledge of electrical design and manufacturing processes strongly preferredExperience with electrical engineering design processesExperience interfacing with internal and external production / manufacturing resourcesExperience with delivering first-of-a-kind projects and productsComfortable applying project management practices to the ambiguity of R&D projectsStrong bias to action, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindsetStrong familiarity with project management, development, and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, MS365 suite, Smartsheets, and Microsoft ProjectPrior experience using waterfall, lean, agile or Kanban program management methodologies and tailoring practices to get the best resultsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentalityExperience working with remote teamsSalary : $113,000 - $141,000 a year

The pay range for this role is $113,000– $141,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
