Labor Crew Leader

The City of Sioux City is seeking a reliable and motivated Labor Crew Leader to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in hands-on leadership roles and value teamwork, accountability, and public service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign, supervise, and participate in the daily work of a labor crew
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials used, and tasks completed
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills
  • Perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions

Requirements

  • Must be in good physical condition to meet job demands
  • Possess or obtain a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months of hire
  • Available to work first shift : Monday through Friday, 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM
  • Willing to work overtime during snow and ice control operations
