Principal Growth Media Strategist

To continue scaling responsibly, we're hiring a Principal Growth Media Strategist a hybrid thinker who combines the analytical rigor of a data scientist, the foresight of a media planner, and the instinct of a channel operator.
You'll architect and operationalize Chime's performance media strategy connecting full-funnel investment planning, channel optimization, and measurement innovation. You'll move fluidly between high-level strategy and ground-level execution : diagnosing performance drivers, reallocating budget in real time, and evolving our playbook for sustainable growth.
This role sits at the intersection of media strategy, analytics, and execution ideal for someone who can zoom out to see portfolio-level tradeoffs, yet dive deep into data to find leverage points. You'll influence leaders across Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and Creative while keeping our media ecosystem running efficiently and intelligently.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $146,610 and up to $207,700. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to :
- Develop and execute full-funnel media strategies that balance efficiency, scale, and learning across Chime's addressable markets.
- Lead planning and forecasting for Chime's multi-channel, eight-figure media budget, ensuring capital is deployed effectively across audiences and channels.
- Partner with Analytics and Finance to connect spend to business outcomes through experimentation, attribution, and media mix modeling.
- Translate performance data into actionable insights and real-world optimizations that improve acquisition efficiency and ROI.
- Build scalable frameworks for planning, reporting, and post-campaign learning that strengthen collaboration and transparency across teams.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Finance to align investments with company priorities and performance goals.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and media platforms to ensure accountability, innovation, and creative enablement.
- Create and deliver clear, data-driven narratives for executive audiences that summarize results, learnings, and strategic recommendations.
To thrive in this role, you have :
8+ years of experience in performance marketing, media strategy, or growth analytics, preferably in both in-house and agency environments.Proven success managing and optimizing large-scale, multi-channel media budgets.Strong understanding of measurement and attribution, including MMM, incrementality testing, and in-channel analytics.Experience with media planning, forecasting, and investment modeling tied to CAC, LTV, and ROI goals.Ability to bridge strategy and execution, connecting detailed analysis to strategic decisions.Strong communicator who can simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders.Demonstrated success leading cross-functional collaboration in fast-moving, data-driven organizations.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
